Which “It” the one with Clara Bow I hope, she was so much better than Tim Curry.

Just watched ‘The Little Hours” last night, and we were both disappointed.  It had a lot of potential but was just too slack in execution.  It sort of ambled onto the screen, sat down, checked its watch, and then took a nap for 90 minutes.

Hijinks in a medieval convent (actually based on an Italian work from the 13th century).  The conceit is that the dialogue is all modern.  Good cast, well-staged.  Never quite gets off the runway.

the last series I ran through and enjoyed was The Boys season one
pretty good, not mindblowing

"an American superhero web television series based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon, it follows the titular team of vigilantes as they fight back against superpowered people who abuse their abilities."

A lot of Original Netflix lately, I find their own content very interesting. A serie called Marianne, extremely disturbing. Eli wasn't bad at all.  The Mind explained is a good serie to follow too.  Netflix is really trying to experiment new things, for that they're very important and so different of the whole remake vibe...

Watched La Influencia on Netflix. Very Good.  Spanish. Spanish and south american horror are really well thought,  they do that a lot better than Hollywood ever did. Aterados (literally terrified) excellent too.

Husband and I watched that Bruce Springsteen fan movie "Blinded by the Light." Not sure if it was the champagne but I thought it was sweet. Didn't mind the movie manipulation. A rare story about how music transforms the self and then brings you back full circle. First the escape, then the coming home.

Michael and I went to see the Lighthouse last night. What a great, nutty, sea shanty movie to make it to local theaters. Beautiful black and white film, isolated New England island and the brutality of seagulls.
